Topic:                         Catch or Bounce & Ball Change

Pupils Level:              Students will have some experience with the game in general but may not be familiar with the rules.
Pupils Age:                3-4 years old
Aims of session:         The aim of the session is to help the main three areas of development as the Cognitive, Affective and the Psycho-Motors.
                                    Cognitive domain:                  Children will identify functions of different items, and make a decision accordingly
                                    Affective domain:                  Children will experience excitement and this makes them feel happy.
                                    Psycho-Motor domain:          Children will move: run, catch or bounce
Learning Outcomes: The game force children to listen carefully, identify the items, and act accordingly! It makes them successful, and happy Children will practice gross, and fine motor skills, they will also learn listening skills.
Equipments:              Lots of space
One ball for Catch or Bounce & 4 golf balls, 4 ping pong balls, 4 tennis balls, 4 cricket balls for Ball Change
Group of children

Warm up 8-10 minutes


Trow the dice!    Clapping and counting game.


In the area of the badminton court children create a horse shoe shape teacher in center

Rules, as you explain it to children:

-I throw the dice! Look what the number is on the top! Clap your hands as many times as much dot you see. Take care, if you see only one dot on the top of a dice, don't clap just turn around.

The children who is the closest to the dice will throw next.

The game force children to listen carefully, to count and act! It makes them successful, and happy. 
Children will play for 3 minutes and repeat the game.

What you need:
·         Lots of space,
·         A sponge dice
·         Group of children
·         Chairs for children

1-2 minutes
Students will sit/stand in a group and listening to the teacher Teacher explain the rules

Horse shoe shape teacher in center.    Safety Points: Arrange smooth flat place, ensure there is adequate place for throw or bounce a ball. Children must have safe clothes - sports tracksuit for outdoor exercises, no chains, rings.
·         I have a ball and throw it to you, when I say a word.
·         If You can eat the thing you catch it,
·         if You can not eat it, you bounce the ball.

2-3 minutes
Students are now participating in the game of Catch or Bounce.

In the area of the badminton court teacher set out a 30 by 30 step playing area with cones.
·         Explain that  items are edible or not.

-"Apple!" (throw the ball to someone),
A child should catch the ball and throw it back to you.
-"Chair!"  (throw the ball to another child),
A child should bounce the ball back to you.

Get the children in circle sitting on a chair, group and listening to the teacher.
 Teacher explains the Ball Change rules.
Children get different balls, one each.

Round shape teacher in centre.
Teacher explains the rules:
When teacher names a ball, all children have the specific type of ball, should change place.
Safety Point:
Explain to children to look where they are going to sit - to avoid head collisions.

Children identify themselves as one type of ball.

3-4 minutes

-"Golf!" All children has golf ball change place.
-" Ping pong!" All children ha a  ping pong ball, change place”.

In the area of the badminton court
·         Introduce a ball.
-" Tennis!" All children has tennis ball change place.
-" Cricket!" All children has a  cricket ball, change place.

Have 1 less chair, so one child can not find place.
Children who can not sit down will call the next ball for changing place.
2-3 minutes

In the area of the badminton court
·         Did every one enjoyed the game?
·         Can we see the importance of listening to teachers directions?







Cool Down: 10 minutes       

Get children to lie down for 30 seconds, and then ask them to wake up and get out of bed (SLOWLY).
Next
Children walk through the land of giants and do the actions on teacher commands. (Teacher demo)
Giant steps to the wall and back.
Children walk through the land of dwarves and do the actions on teacher commands. (Teacher demo)
Children go on their hunkers to the wall.
Children will now form a circle and put their hands together and clap for a good lesson.
Take deep breath.
